Then, while reciting the prayer, they must trace the talismanic symbol of the hexagram 乾 (qian). This ritual attracts Yang energy, meaning that the manifestation will come in the form of a man or empower a man. It may attract a man who imparts notions of justice or prosperity depending on the case. Or a man may empower himself to achieve justice or prosperity. In all cases, the male figure will prevail. Since ancient times, this talisman has been used for sexual potency and fertility. Women seeking men also made use of this talisman. In witchcraft, this talisman is used to invoke the masculine forces of creation and destruction.
